Customer states:
 An Audi Adaptive light or Adaptive Driver Assistant malfunction is displayed in the instrument cluster.
Workshop findings:
The following DTC is stored in the front sensor for driver assistant systems, J1121 (address word 00A5):
 DTC C12B3FB (front camera for driver assist systems – malfunction) with symptom code 221187.
Or
 DTC B200FF3 (internal problem) with symptom code 221193.
Or
 DTC B200FF3 (internal problem) with symptom code 221280.
Technical Background
A software issue can cause those DTCs to enter erroneously.

1. Clear the DTC entries. This will temporarily resolve the problem.
2. Explain to the customer that a solution is forthcoming for the end of 4th quarter of 2020 and that no repairs
are necessary at this point. Do not replace any components for this condition since this will not resolve the
customer’s concern.
3. Create a PSS record in the PSS application through the Pending Service Solutions (PSS) link in AccessAudi
(under Related Links >> Service), or through the Technical Assistance page in Elsa.
