Condition
Instrument cluster faults for oil pressure monitoring (00A048) and engine control warnings (00A016 and C12080)
occurring in the wake of DME error entries P052100 (00723D) - ‘Oil pressure sensor, front of engine block – signal’
and P25AD00 (0048AD) – ‘Oil pressure switch – signal implausible.’
Technical Background
A sensitive diagnostic trigger threshold in connection with the manner in which adaptions related to oil pressure
occur for some vehicles may lead to the aforementioned errors. This condition is not harmful to the engine.
A possible solution to alleviate this matter in the field by means of a software change is in progress and the
information herein will be updated accordingly.
Service Information
After recording a Vehicle Analysis Log (VAL), delete the fault memory log and drive to ensure there are no further
faults.
