Complaint:
Anti-theft alarm system (ATA) operates without obvious cause
Cause:
Possible causes:
1. Holder for IRSS (A26/15 interior protection sensor at rear) loose at rear (Picture A, see marking) and/or electric line
jammed between roof and sensor (Picture B).
2. The sensitivity of the sensors of anti-theft alarm (ATA) system A26/6 and of the A26/15 interior protection sensor at
rear (IRSS) is too high for use in the vehicle.
3. Unfavorable load securing (loose objects in load compartment).

Remedy:
Do not replace any components!
1. Remove protective foil from adhesive strips and/or route electric line properly, then fasten holder for IRSS (A26/15
interior protection sensor at rear).
2. Perform commissioning of an already installed ATA control unit (A26/6 anti-theft alarm system) and then an SCN
coding in A26/15 interior protection sensor at rear (IRSS).
Note: With older software releases (A9079050105) of the A26/15 interior protection sensor at rear (IRSS), this may result in an OK fault B1A4813 - (Interior sensor 1 malfunction. Open circuit) occurring in A26/6 anti-theft alarm system
(ATA), which in this case should be ignored.
3. Notify customer that loose objects must not be left in the load compartment. Secure objects against movement to
prevent the ATA from triggering through the IRSS (A26/15 interior protection sensor at rear) .
