Reason for block
Complaint:
The seat heating in the vehicle cannot be activated. When the seat heating button is pressed the 3 red LEDs light up
briefly and then go off again after a brief period (approx. 3 seconds).
Cause:
To prevent too high surface temperatures on the heating surfaces (and thereby any damage to the system), the cut-in
frequency of the seat heating is limited.
Consequences:
- Two-time, full operation of the seat heating results in the system's heat limit being reached (counter value in background)
- Seat heating can only be started again after a cooling-down phase (counter value must be reset to 0)
- If the vehicle is parked before resetting the value to 0, this may prevent the system from being activated the next time the ignition is operated
Remedy:
The new control units are available and can be ordered.
Replacement of the control unit is required.
