Technical Background
Model year 2020 and 2021 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport vehicles are equipped with two types of headlights:


Basic LED Headlights
Top Performance LED Headlights
PR Code Reference:
Basic LED: PR code (8IY), (8Q0).
Top Performance LED: PR code (8IX), (8Q5).
Note:
Using the VIN and PR codes, ensure to identify which system is being worked on before diagnosing headlight
concerns.
Service
Basic LED Headlights (PR code (8IY), (8Q0)
The basic LED headlights are standard on model S, SE, and SE with Technology models.
Note that only the outer LED bar is illuminated for Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) application. See Figure 1 and 2.

Top Performance LED Headlights (PR code (8IX), (8Q5)
The Top Performance LED Headlights are standard on model SEL and SEL Premium models.
Note both the outer and inner LED bars are illuminated for Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) application.
The Top Performance LED Headlights are standard option with Adaptive Front Lighting (AFS) system and light assist.
