Read this entire procedure before beginning work.
Use Safe Shop Practices at All Times.
To avoid personal injury:
a. Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn. Safety glasses and
protective gloves are required for working with DEF Fluid.
b. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
c. Ensure that both the front and the rear wheels are chocked.
d. Position the ENGINE RUN and ENGINE START switches on the engine
compartment remote control box to the OFF position.
e. Allow enough time for components to cool down prior to working in the engine
compartment.

Description
This bulletin outlines the steps to add the secondary air filter. The secondary filter can
only be used with primary air filter, MCI P/N: 09-03-1858.

Procedure for installing secondary air filter
4.1 Removing the air filter
Locate the air cleaner housing at the rear of the engine and remove cover.
Unclip the 4 housing
cover clamps and
remove the cover

Remove and save the primary air filter and clean the inside of the filter housing with a
damp cloth.

4.2 Installing the filters and decal
Install the secondary air filter, MCI P/N: 09-03-1970, as shown below. Ensure the filter is
tightly seated onto the mounting flange.

Reinstall the primary air filter over the secondary filter. Ensure the primary filter is tightly
seated on the mounting flange.

Clean the air filter cover with isopropyl alcohol, MCI P/N: 23-05-0005, allow flash off time.
Install the secondary air filter decal, MCI P/N: 09-03-1971, on the cleaned surface as
shown.
