Idle Stability

The engine will shut off at low speed approaching a stop and restart immediately
by using the engine start button.
There is a flashing ‘D’ in the instrument cluster.

Various contributing factors have been identified to improve idle quality.

Complete primary and secondary diagnostics for any DTC’s that are stored.
Ensure the minimum fuel requirements outlined in the owner’s manual are met.
If no root cause is identified or no DTCs are stored, raise a TA and include details
and results of all diagnostic steps performed.
A TA will allow confirmation of diagnostics, transparency of the complaint for
tracking, and/or dispatch of logging equipment where necessary.
A revised PCM software is in development to improve idle quality but has been
delayed for release until Q1 2021.
