IF YOU CONFIRM
The customer experiences a vibration or a stick/slip/binding feeling from the rear of the
vehicle when turning at low speed.
ACTION
Perform the AWD coupler clutch break-in procedure.

contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair.

properly trained individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Verify both the extended storage switch and the BCM transit mode have been
disabled.
2.
Ensure the vehicle is at ambient temperature.

If the vehicle is above ambient temperature, allow the vehicle to sit for at least 30
minutes before proceeding.
3.
Verify the AWD selector is in standard mode.
4.
Drive sixteen (16) figure-8 patterns in a parking lot.

The vehicle must maintain a constant speed of 10mph.

The steering angle must be at full lock.
NOTE: The judder should reduce with each circuit as the AWD clutch breaks-in.
5.
If the judder is not resolved, repeat step 4.

A maximum amount of forty-eight (48) figure-8 patterns should resolve the
concern.
