Altec Industries, Inc. has developed a product improvement which relates to T40P aerial devices built on
Ford F-750 chassis from July 2017 through December 2018.
Refer to SIL 776 for items covered under the warranty policy. There are no parts required to correct this
condition.
In order to determine if your unit is affected by SIL 776, compare the serial number of your unit with the list of
affected units as described on the SIL. The product improvement can be performed by the customer or you may
contact Altec at 1-877-GO-ALTEC (1-877-462-5832) for further assistance.
At any time, you may contact Altec at 1-877 GO ALTEC (1-877-462-5832) with your unit’s serial number to
determine if there are any other outstanding notices.
If you have sold or retired the unit please call Altec at 1-877-GO-ALTEC (1-877-462-5832) so the records may
be changed.

Hydraulic Filter Access Correction
Altec is committed to providing our customers safe and reliable products from initial delivery
throughout the useful life of the machine.
Regular replacement of the return line hydraulic filter is required as part of the periodic maintenance on an aerial device. Altec has discovered that on the affected units the hydraulic reservoir
was mounted in a location which does not allow access for replacing the return line hydraulic
filter.
Altec requires that a repair is performed to provide filter access no later than the next periodic
maintenance interval. The required repair kit depends on the type of body on the unit, as shown
below.

This repair is covered under the Altec Warranty Policy and must be performed by Altec. Call
1-877-GO ALTEC (1-877-462-5832) to schedule the work to be done by an Altec service technician. Altec will perform the repair for free at an Altec facility. Customers are responsible for
the travel costs of an Altec Mobile Service technician if the technician performs the repair at the
owner’s location. Customers must clear the cargo area and front street side compartment of all
equipment and debris to allow access for the technician to perform the repair.
