01 Car jerks/bucks or hesitates while driving DTCs P023600, P010600 are stored in the ECM 01 21 98 2062323/1 February 18, 2021. Model(s) Year VIN Range Vehicle-Specific Equipment A6 2018 - 2020 All 2.0TFSI A6 2021 000001 - 046815 2.0TFSI Condition Customer states: The vehicle feels as if it is hesitating, is low on power or is bucking/jerking while driving. The MIL may also be illuminated. Workshop findings: The yellow wire on the electrical connector of the charge pressure sender is damaged. One or more of the following DTCs may be stored in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 0001): DTC P010600 (Manifold Abs.Pressure or Bar.Pressure Range/Performance). DTC P023600 (Turbocharger Boost Sensor (A) Circ. Range/Performance). Technical Background Due to the routing of the wiring and the length of wiring that is uncovered, the wiring may become damaged due to vibrations. Production Solution Harness is secured in place with textile tape during production. Service If the customer concern and one or more of the faults listed above is present, inspect the wires at the G31 sensor. If there are no issues found at G31 connector this TSB does not apply. Please proceed with standard diagnosis. Page 1 of 5 © 2021 Audi of America, Inc. All rights reserved. Tip: It may be necessary to disconnect or de-pin the wires from the G31 connector to check for proper crimping and seating of the pins. If damage is found to the pins or wire at the G31 boost pressure sensor, repair the harness using VAS 1978B (Figure 1). Please use gold-plated contacts to repair the damaged wire(s) (000 979 025 EA). Ensure there is sufficient slack in the harness to prevent future issues. Figure 1. Wire is broken at G31 sensor. Following repairs, the harness must be wrapped with textile tape N 105 920 02. Apply the textile tape starting at the wiring below the connector. Ensure the wires are kept flat to avoid over stressing the pins (Figure 2). Page 2 of 5 © 2021 Audi of America, Inc.
