WARNING
Follow your internal safety procedures.
PROCEDURE
NIVEAU 1
1.1.
Park the vehicle on an even surface with the transmission on neutral.
1.2.
Apply the parking brake and set the master control switch to the stop position.
1.3.
Set the battery disconnect switch in the battery compartment to the off position.
1.4.
Inspect the destination sign four latches.
•
If broken or damaged, see Level 2 procedure.
•
If loose or no thread locker visible, apply the procedure in the following steps.
•
If tight and presence of thread locker, no other action to perform.

With a flat head screwdriver, loosen the adjustment screw.

NOTE
Make sure the threads are clean and free from oil, grease or debris before applying the thread locker. Use
brake cleaner like N8910941 or equivalent.
1.6.
Apply blue thread locker on the adjustment screw, from the top.

1.7.
Tighten adjustment screw, close the panel and secure the latch.
1.8.
Adjust the latch.
1.9.
Repeat the procedure for all remaining front destination sign compartment latches.
1.10.
Clean up thread locker spills if needed.
1.11.
The vehicle can return in service.

LEVEL 2 REPLACE LATCH
2.1.
If a damaged latch needs to be replaced, order N79368 from the Level 2 material list.
2.2.
Torque the four locknuts with a 7 mm socket to 22 ±4 lb-in (2.5 ±0.5 N•m) while holding the screw head with
a Phillips screwdriver.
2.3.
Perform the steps 1.5 to 1.11.
