GROUP NUMBER BATTERY Technical Service Bulletin SUBJECT: DATE 21-EE-001H MODEL(S) March, 2021 All Electric Vehicles ADJUSTING THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERY’S MAXIMUM CHARGING THRESHOLD Description: This Service Information bulletin provides the instructions on how to adjust the maximum EV battery charging threshold in the radio head unit. Applicable Vehicles: All Hyundai Electric Vehicles (EV) Service Procedure: 1. Turn the vehicle ignition ON. 7-inch AVN Display The starting point to select depends on the type of AVN radio display found in the vehicle. The remaining instructions are similar between both radio AVN. 10.25-inch AVN Display 2. The Energy Information selection will display the battery charge level and (DC/AC) maximum charge percentage. Select Energy Information. Circulate To: General Manager, Service Manager, Parts Manager, Warranty Manager, Service Advisors, Technicians, Body Shop Manager, Fleet Repair SUBJECT: ADJUSTING THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERY’S MAXIMUM CHARGING THRESHOLD 3. Select DC Charger. 4. Press the minus (-) sign to reduce the Max. Charge percentage. (In this particular example, the charge has been reduced to 90%) Select OK when complete. 5. Perform Steps 3-4 once more after selecting the AC Charger to adjust percentage. 6. The (DC/AC) Maximum Charge is confirmed as it will now display the lower % value. 7.
