And/or The vehicle cannot be driven. Workshop findings: Various DTCs related to the power electronics, J841 (address word 0051) are stored in various control modules. A few examples are: DTC U003600 (Vehicle Communication Bus A (-) shorted to Bus A (+)). DTC U002800 (Vehicle Communication Bus A). DTC U002900 (Vehicle Communication Bus A Performance). DTC U140500 (Terminal 15 Implausible signal). DTC P0A2F00 (Drive Motor "A" Over Temperature). DTC P0A1B00 (Drive motor “A” Control Module). DTC U121C00 (Drive Motor “A” No Communication). DTC U011000 (Lost Communication With Drive Motor Control Module). Technical Background The 12V wiring harness for the power electronics, J841 (address word 0051) can chafe against the underbody trim. Service 1. Check the wiring harness for the power electronics, J841 (address word 0051) for any chafed sections (Figure 1). Figure 1. Chafed 12volt harness section. 2. A. If there is no damage found, this TSB does not apply please continue with normal diagnosis outside of this bulletin. B. If damaged wires are found, please document the damage following TSB 2061976: 97 Wire harness repairs and documentation. 3. Repair the wires with VAS 1978B. If it is necessary to replace the contacts in the connector as part of the repair work, please use gold-plated repair wires 000 979 038 EA. Tip: Use the following special tools to remove the pins from the connector: Primary locking device: VAS 1978/35-31. Secondary locking device: VAS 1978/17. Expose and release retaining clip (see red circle in Figure 2). Figure 2. Harness modification diagram. 5. Pull wiring harness 5 mm (see red arrow in Figure 2) away from power electronics. 6. Secure clip again with textile tape N 107 290 02. Clip must be replaced if it is damaged during removal (part number 6Q0 971 848 P). 7. Secure cable tie N 106 232 01 around wiring harness and connector so that wiring harness is pulled upward (see red circle in Figure 3). Figure 3. Secure the cable tie. 9.
