SERVICE INFORMATION
The applied vehicles are equipped with automatic door locks that lock all doors when the
vehicle speed reaches 15 MPH. There is no instruction in the Owner’s Manual on auto-lock
function deactivation. All doors unlock automatically when the ignition is placed in the OFF
position (models with Intelligent Key system) or when the key is removed from the ignition
switch (models without Intelligent Key system). The auto-unlock function can be
deactivated by the driver in accordance with Owner’s Manual Instructions.
NOTE: The auto-unlock function can be inadvertently deactivated. Do not perform any
repairs before attempting to re-activate the auto-unlock function by following the steps
below:
1. Close all doors.
2. Place the ignition switch in the ON position.
3. Within 20 seconds of performing Step 2, push and hold the power door lock switch to
the position (UNLOCK) for more than 5 seconds.
4. When activated, the hazard indicator will flash twice. When deactivated, the hazard
indicator will flash once.
5. The ignition switch must be placed in the OFF and ON position again between each
setting change.
Please remind the customer to check the Automatic Door Locks description in the Owner’s
Manual, section Pre-driving checks and adjustments.

properly trained individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job
properly and safely. NOTE: If you believe that a described condition may apply to a particular vehicle, DO
NOT assume that it does. See your Nissan dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle.
