SERVICE PROCEDURE
Second Row RH Captain and Bench Type Seat Harness Wiring Repair
NOTES:
• Pictures are taken from a QX56 with bench type second row heated seating. Captain seats are similar.
• Although most repairs are shown performed with the seat in the vehicle, repairs can be performed on a
clean work bench with suitable covering.
• If repairs are performed in the vehicle, the RH seat and seatback will need to be repositioned multiple
times depending on which step is being performed.
• The seat will need to be removed if the seat harness needs to be replaced.
• Protect interior surfaces around the seat with suitable covering before starting the repair procedure.
1. Unzip the inner and outer seatback zippers.
• The ends of both zippers are tucked within the seat trim.
