Classification: Reference: HA14-003 Date: NTB14-110 December 1, 2014 2015 ALTIMA; AUTOMATIC CLIMATE CONTROL AND REMOTE ENGINE START SERVICE INFORMATION APPLIED VEHICLE: 2015 Altima (L33) equipped with auto A/C and RES SERVICE INFORMATION 2015 Altima vehicles equipped with automatic climate controls (auto A/C) and remote start function (Remote Engine Start, or RES) will go into automatic heating or cooling mode when the remote start is activated depending on outside and cabin temperatures. During this period, the climate control display and buttons will be inoperatble until the ignition switch is turn ON. When an engine is started with RES: 2014 Altima: Auto A/C will default to the setting (regardless if heating or cooling) at the time the ignition was last turned OFF. 2015 Altima: Auto A/C will default to either heating or cooling mode depending on the outside and cabin temperatures. Auto A/C set point is 75°F. Air flow distribution and fan speed are controlled automatically. 2015 Altima with manual A/C: Manual A/C will default to the setting (heating or cooling) at the time the ignition was last turned OFF. NOTES: On 2015 Altima vehicles equipped with auto A/C and RES: After the engine has been started with RES: The auto A/C control display is blank AND The auto A/C controls are inoperable. When the ignition is turned ON: The auto A/C changes back to the setting at the time the ignition was last turned OFF AND The auto A/C’s display and controls operate normally.
