SERVICE INFORMATION
Combination Meter Self-Learning After Replacement
The Combination Meter of all applied vehicles has a learning function when first installed.
IMPORTANT: Immediately after initial installation and ignition ON, the combination
meter adapts to the way the vehicle is equipped. Performing self-learning can be
done only once. Once done, it cannot be changed.
CAUTION: Never install a combination meter from an ADAS equipped vehicle into a
non-ADAS equipped vehicle, or vice versa, for testing purposes or any other reason. If
this incident occurs, the combination meter will need to be replaced.
See page 2 for Precautions Against Installing Combination Meter from One Vehicle
into Another
Nissan Bulletins are intended for use by qualified technicians, not 'do-it-yourselfers'. Qualified technicians are properly
trained individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely.
NOTE: If you believe that a described condition may apply to a particular vehicle, DO NOT assume that it does. See your
Nissan dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle.

Precaution Against Installing Combination Meter from One Vehicle into Another
Some 2015-2016 applied vehicles are equipped with the Advanced Driver Assistance
System (ADAS), and other 2015-2016 applied vehicles are not equipped with ADAS.
Swapping a combination meter from one vehicle to another can cause the Forward
Emergency Braking System (FEBS) warning light (Figure 1) to turn ON.
Figure 1
EXAMPLE: If a combination meter from an ADAS equipped vehicles is installed in a nonADAS equipped vehicle for any reason:

The FEBS warning light (Figure 1) will turn ON and cannot be turned OFF.
And

Cannot be turned OFF if installed back into an ADAS equipped vehicle.
And

No DTCs will “trip” or be found stored in “METER” under this condition.
