***REVISED on 1/15/2016***
Polaris Customer Delivery Experience (PCDX) Required to Complete Vehicle Registrations
PCDX is an online and mobile interface for providing a consistent dealer setup and customer delivery experience. The
interface walks the dealer and the customer through a standardized online form that includes the PDI (pre-delivery
inspection), general warnings, assembly and inspection, safety bulletins, test ride, customer information, customer
walkaround and discussion, and customer acceptance. This application has been proven in dealerships to automate
document retention, streamline vehicle setup, and provide a consistent, professional customer experience.
Vehicles shipped after 11/1/2015 no longer include a paper PDI form with the vehicle setup material; instead dealers
should complete the vehicle setup and PDI using the PCDX application, which can be located on the Dealer Website
under Service and Warranty – PCDX.
In addition to vehicle setups and consumer delivery, starting March 1, 2016 PCDX use will be required for
collecting Customer Registration Information that will be used for Warranty Registration on new units. Make
sure that all dealership personnel that complete warranty registration complete the trainings listed below.
Dealer Action Required:
PCDX fundamental training is required and available now. The fundamental courses are required for all dealer
technicians and sales personnel. Sign on to www.universityofpolaris.com to complete the five training modules:

PCDX is accessible from the Polaris Dealer Site via desktop computers, laptops, tablets, or smartphones. Apple or
Android tablets and smartphones can be used.

SUBJECT: 2015-2016 Indian Full-Size Motorcycles - Access Cover Leak
PURPOSE:
Indian Motorcycle has determined that some 2015-2016 full-size Indian Motorcycles may develop
an oil leak from the Primary Access Cover Seal. Leaks typically appear during setup or dealer
flooring. This may occur if the seal (PN:5415433) migrated out of position during assembly, prior
to cover installation.
AFFECTED MODELS:
Full-Size Indian Motorcycles equipped with chrome engines (PN’s 1205228 and 1205304) built on
or between 6/22/15 thru 12/11/15.
Reference Unit Inquiry for build date information pertaining to a specific VIN.
STEPS TO REPLACE PRIMARY ACCESS COVER HOLE SEAL
1. Remove 4 socket head cap screws ①.
2. Remove primary access cover ②.
3. Remove and discard the existing seal ③.
4. Clean oil from primary cover seal interface
area ④.

5. Clean oil from access cover seal interface
area ⑤.
6. Plug access hole in primary cover with a
clean, lint free cloth to prevent debris from
entering the engine.
7. Using 240 grit emery cloth, lightly sand
chrome on OD of seal interface ④.
Use 6 – 10 passes to remove the sheen from
the chrome.
8. After sanding, clean the primary cover OD area along with the back of the seal with
denatured alcohol.
9. Assemble new seal (P/N 5415433) onto the primary cover OD, making sure the seal is fully
seated.
10. Assemble the primary access cover ②, hold cover in place firmly while torqueing the
screws ① to 7.4 ft-lbs (10 Nm).
NOTE: Follow torque sequence outlined below for primary access cover screws.
WARRANTY INFORMATION
The Primary Access Cover Seal is covered under the factory 2-year warranty period.

SUBJECT: SLINGSHOT – HOOD BUMPER REPLACEMENT KIT
MODELS: ALL 2015-2016 SLINGSHOT MODELS
The Slingshot Division of Polaris Industries has developed a hood bumper replacement kit for all 2015 and 2016
Slingshot models. The original hood isolator brackets are composed of a rubber pad adhered to a metal support bracket.
In some cases, the rubber pads may separate from the metal support bracket due to heat and vibration.
If a vehicle is experiencing separation of the rubber pad from the metal support bracket, the hood bumper replacement
kit (PN 2206305) should be installed. The kit includes four rubber isolation bumpers and installation instructions and is
intended to be used with the existing support brackets mounted to the hood. The Polaris Online Electronic Parts Catalog
has been updated to include the new hardware.

SUBJECT: VICTORY EMPULSE TT DIAGNOSTIC SOFTWARE AND SPECIAL TOOLS
MODELS: EMPULSE TT
Special Tools
Special tool kits will begin shipping early 2016. If communication with a bike is needed prior to receiving
cables, please contact Victory Technical Service. There are a limited number of kits that can be loaned if
needed.
The Empulse TT Service Communication poster that was recently sent out contains an optional tool that will
not be offered.
https://www.polarisdealers.com/files/ServWarr/English/Victory-ServiceComm-EmpulseTT.pdf
Kit #2 (PV-51896) will not be shipped out or offered on the Bosch Special Tools website. The software used
to connect to the Empulse TT has been updated and can be run on a 32 or 64 bit laptop. We recommend
using the same computer currently used for Digital Wrench applications. Additionally, the software used to
communicate with the 2016 Victory Empulse TT is also used to communicate with Legacy Brammo products.
Downloading the Diagnostic Software
The Victory Empulse TT does not use the Digital Wrench software or any of the Digital Wrench cables that
other Victory Motorcycles use.
Log in to your Polaris dealer website and go to Digital Wrench Update under Service and Warranty. There will
be a new Brammo folder that will include all the necessary software and diagnostic files. Download and install
the following three software files:



Battery Diagnostics
MC Setup Application
Vehicle Diagnostics Application
You will also need to download and save the calibration
files. You can do this by clicking on “Calibrations” under
the Brammo Diagnostics, then click on “All Calibrations
in Zip File Format.”
Please submit an Ask Polaris case or contact Victory
Technical Service if you have any questions.
