Service Technical Information 20/16 ENU 2065 2 Delayed Vehicle Start When Outside Temperature Is Below -13° F (-25° C) (20/16) Model line: 911 Carrera (991) Boxster/Cayman (981) Model Year: As of 2012 Subject: Fuel pump relay Information: At outside temperatures below -13 °F (-25° C), the fuel pump relay may be iced-up and a delayed vehicle start may be possible. The fuel pump relay is heated automatically after opening the vehicle. The vehicle is ready to start after one minute. This symptom is caused by a technical issue. It is not a defect and does not justify replacing the fuel pump relay. Please also inform the customer (in the event of a complaint) about this technical issue. Work Procedure: 1 Invoicing: Start the vehicle at outside temperatures below -13° F (-25° C). 1.1 Open the vehicle. 1.2 Wait one minute. 1.3 Start the vehicle.
