SUBJECT:
Description: This bulletin outlines the repair procedure for customers experiencing a popping or rattling
noise from the front fender area of the vehicle while driving. The repair procedure outlined in this TSB
only applies to vehicles manufactured within the production date range specified below and exhibit noise
from the fender area.
Applicable Vehicles: Certain 2021MY Santa Fe (TMa) vehicles produced between 10/19/2020 –
3/1/2021

Note 1: Submit claim on Campaign Claim Entry Screen.
Note 2: If part that is not covered by this campaign is found in need of replacement while performing this
TSB and the affected part is still under warranty, submit a separate claim using the same Repair Order.
If the affected part is out of warranty, submit a Prior Approval Request for goodwill consideration prior to
performing the work.

FENDER NOISE REPAIR
SUBJECT:
Service Procedure:
1.
Remove all clips, grommets, and screws
from the wheel liner. Refer to the service
manual for the locations of the fasteners.

NOTICE
Only partial removal of the outermost
liner is needed to gain access.
2.
Pull the wheel liner down from the top of
the wheel area.
3.
Inspect the panel by pressing on the sheet
metal.
If the panel does not flex, this repair
procedure does not apply.
If the panel does flex, proceed to the next
step.

FENDER NOISE REPAIR
4.
Place needle-nose pliers or a flat-head
screwdriver into the center hole and bend
the sheet metal outward until there is no
excess play in the body panel.
5.
Reinspect the body panel to verify there is
no flex when pressed. If the body panel is
still flexing, repeat step 4 until no flex
remains.
6.
Reassemble the vehicle in reverse order of
removal.
7.
The service procedure is now complete.
