Dear Dealers,
In the event of a possible misalignment of the Fuel Tank’s Fill Cap Cover (with respect to the
Fill Cap itself) and/or incorrect closure of the Mobile Phone Compartment Lid, please follow
these suggestions to help resolve concerns on this matter.
It is possible to realign the Fuel Tank’s Fill Cap Cover and the Mobile Phone Compartment
Cover by acting on the fuel tank cover fixing screws. In cases where, after following the
operations described below, it is not possible to restore the alignment to an acceptable value
(for example due to the deformed cover), fill out a YouTech service request. Be sure to include
notes describing your actions and the issue, as well as clear photos of the alignment problem.

Service Solution
1. Remove the rider and passenger seats (see Sec. 5: "Fairing installation – Seat" of the
Workshop Manual).
2. Remove the 6 screws (1) securing the left panel (2) and slide it out (see Sec. 5: "Fairing
installation – Panel" of the Workshop Manual). Follow the same procedure for the RH
panel.
3. Remove the RH side fairing (2) (see Sec. 5: "Fairing installation – Tail guard and side body
panels" of the Workshop Manual). Follow the same procedure for the LH fairing.

4. Remove the 2 fastening screws (1) of the right-side conveyor (2) (See Sec. 5: "Fairing
installation – Fairing" of the Workshop Manual). Follow the same procedure for the LH
side.
5. Remove the 4 screws (6) fixing the front conveyor (7) to release the tank fairing.

6. Open the cover of the mobile phone compartment by pressing the area circled in the
figure.
7. Using suitable equipment, remove the fork (1) securing the USB socket by pulling it
upwards.
8. Loosen the 2 screws (2) securing the fuel fill cap cover at the rear.
9. Loosen the 2 screws (3) securing the fuel fill cap cover (4) at the front.

10. Then slide out the tank fill cap cover (4) by releasing the vehicle connection.
11. In order to improve the coupling of the fuel tank fill cap cover with the fill cap itself and/or
the closure of the mobile phone compartment, it is necessary to work on the 6 lateral
screws (7), right and left, and on the 2 upper screws (5) fixing the tank fairing (8).
Thanks to the slotted retainers of the tank fairing, it is possible to move the fairing to
adapt it to the profile of the fuel tank fill cap cover and to improve the closure of the
mobile phone compartment.

NOTE
The tank fairing must adapt to the profile of the fuel tank fill cap cover and mobile
phone compartment.
12. Once this operation has been completed, proceed with installing the motorcycle’s fairings
(see Sec. 5: "Fairing installation” of the Workshop Manual).
