Customer statement / workshop findings
Customer statement:
Blind spot monitors (Wing mirror illuminations) are not functional in conjunction with sporadic Bentley assist warnings present in the DIP (Figure
1)

Workshop findings:
Master or slave rear radars are not fitted correctly (unclipped or poorly installed)
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) C1114F3 - Lane change assistance control module restricted view, logged with address 003C or 00CF
Technical background
As per the Workshop findings section
The operative should review the Theory of operation chapter for the Rear radar
Production change
All VIN’s post SCBCX13S4MC086559 are to specification
Measure
1) Refer to the Repair manual for the rear radar fitment location - Ensure the surrounding area of each radar is as follows:
•
Clean from debris/dirt
•
No Aftermarket paint films/vinyl’s are applied over the top of the rear radars
•
No Aftermarket body modifications are fitted which could inhibit the operation of the radar signals
2) Verify the diagnostic address in which the DTC is evident as follows:
•
003C: Inspect the RHS rear radar fitment and/or bracket damage
•
00CF: Inspect the LHS rear radar fitment and/or bracket damage
3) In the event one or both control units are loose/detached - Refer to Figures 2 (Before adjustment) and 3 (After adjustment) and also
reference Rep.Gr - 44 Lane change assist control units (J769 and J770) - To remove and fit

If no fault found and the radars are secure - Refer to Rep.Gr 44 – Calibrate the rear radar
4) Clear all applicable DTC’s
5) Perform a road test to confirm the issue is no longer evident
In the event the issue is still evident or the issue reoccurs, please raise a DISS query ensuring all supporting information is
attached to the DISS query
