SERVICE:
After the Unrestricted Speed setting is set with VIDA, the Engine Control Module (ECM) must go to
sleep before the setting is saved permanently.
Once the setting is changed, if a software download is performed or if the vehicle is set to
Programming mode and reset before the ECM has had a chance to go to sleep, the setting will revert
back to the original setting.
To avoid this, after setting Normal mode and Unrestricted Speed during PDS, close and lock the
vehicle for 2-5 minutes before proceeding to download a PDS Upgrade or other software.
