The customer may have a concern of an airbag light ON in the instrument cluster -KX2- and fault code B1225F1 is
stored.
Technical Background
The customer is stating that the airbag light is illuminated and when the vehicle is scanned, fault code B1225F1, “Seat
occupied recognition sensor mat -G128- shield wire, open circuit“, is found.
Service
Due to a hardware change in the seat harness and occupancy detection mat -G128-, as well as updated software in
the PODS module -J706-, it is necessary to replace all three components when servicing the system. Due to these
changes, components are not interchangeable or backwards compatible. After replacement, clear any remaining faults
and perform the PODS basic settings as needed. Please reference ETKA for the most up to date parts information.
