The MIL comes on with DTCs P0441 (EVAP System Purge Flow Malfunction) P04F1 (EVAP System Low Purge Flow
Detected).
POSSIBLE CAUSE
External radio waves cause fluctuation of sensor outputs within the harness leading to a miscalculation setting a DTC.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Install the sub cord to both the driver’s and passenger’s side harness or just the passenger’s side. Check the vehicle’s
VIN number to see the repair procedure needed.

REPAIR PROCEDURE A
1. Remove the passenger’s front door sill trim.
2. Pull out on the front door opening seal as needed.
3. Remove the kick panel.

4. If any yellow clips did not stay attached to the kick panel, remove the clips from the body and install them back into
the kick panel.
5. Disconnect the engine room harness connector from the floor harness connector as shown.

6. Connect the connector of the floor harness to the sub cord connector.
7. Connect the other end of the sub cord connector to the engine room harness connector.

8. Slide the sub cord connector to the engine room harness connector using the tabs on the connectors.
9. Reinstall all removed parts.
10. Clear the DTC’s
REPAIR PROCEDURE B
1. Remove the driver’s front door sill trim.

2. Pull out the front door opening seal as needed.
3. Remove the kick panel.
4. Unclip the engine room harness connector from the floor, then, separate the two connectors as shown.
5. Disconnect the engine room harness connector and remove the connector clip from the connector to the floor
bracket.
NOTE: Discard the clip, the sub cord has a new one.

6. Slide the engine room harness connector to the instrument panel harness connector.
7. Connect the sub cord harness connector to the engine room harness connector.

8. Connect the connector of the sub cord to the floor harness connector. Then, push in the clip on the sub cord to the
floor bracket.
9. Slide the engine harness connector to the sub cord harness connector.
10. Reinstall all removed parts.
11. Clear the DTC’s.
