Fog Light Lenses Look Melted or Discolored?
AFFECTED VEHICLES
All models with fog lights
Do the fog light lenses look melted or discolored? Before you consider fog light replacement, check the lenses for
aftermarket stone chip protectors.
These products help protect headlight and fog light lenses from rock chips, bugs, sand, salt, and other everyday driving
hazards. But in some cases, they can melt or get discolored, making it look like the lenses are damaged when they
actually aren’t.
If the lenses have these protectors, don’t replace the fog lights! Contact the service advisor. If you replace the fog lights
and WPI later determines that the only damage is to the protectors, your dealership will be debited! Damage to
aftermarket parts isn’t covered by Warranty.
Of course, if the lenses don’t have these protectors and they’re actually melted or discolored, then fog light replacement
is certainly a consideration.
