• Recall 126305 [USA]: An unlocked second row left outboard seatback increases the risk of injury to the seat occupant during a crash.
  Honda (american honda motor co.) is recalling certain 2014-2016 honda odyssey vehicles. The second row outboard seats have a lever to fold the seatback and slide the seat forward to access the third row seats. Due to a manufacturing error, if the walk-in release lever is used to fold a fully reclined left outboard seatback forward, the seatback may stay in the unlocked position (free-folding) or unexpectedly unlock without engaging the walk-in or recliner lever.
  honda will notify owners, and dealers will confirm proper operation of the second row left outboard seatback, and install a support bracket to the seat recliner. If the seatback cannot lock, dealers will replace the seatback frame assembly. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began may 7, 2018. • Recall 139446 [USA]: If the seat tips forward during braking, it can increase the risk of injury.
  Honda (american honda motor co.) is recalling certain 2011-2017 honda odyssey vehicles. The second row outboard seats can slide sideways to one of two positions. If a seat is placed between either of the two positions when attaching the seat to the vehicle floor, the seat will not latch properly to the seat striker, allowing the seat to tip forward unexpectedly during braking.

The affected vehicles have second row outboard seats that have a release lever that allows the seats to move for easier access to the third row of seats. • Recall 121133 [USA]: An unlocked second row center seat may increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant in the event of a crash.
  Honda (american honda motor co.) is recalling certain model year 2016 odyssey vehicles manufactured september 23, 2016, to october 24, 2016. The affected vehicles have a second row center seat with a horizontal adjuster bar that may stick in the unlocked position, allowing the seat to unexpectedly slide. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 207, "seat systems."

• Recall 112232 [USA]: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire.
  Honda (american honda motor co.) is recalling certain model year 2015 acura mdx 2wd and mdx 4wd vehicles, 2016 acura mdx 4wd vehicles, 2015-2016 honda odyssey vehicles, and 2016 honda pilot 2wd and 4wd vehicles. The affected vehicles have fuel tanks that were manufactured with insufficient welds which may separate and allow fuel to leak out.

• Recall 2017567 [Canada]: Seats and restraints
  On certain vehicles, the rear outboard strikers of the second row outboard (outer) seats have a collar to define two set positions. If an outboard seat is positioned over the collar while attaching the seat to the vehicle floor, the seat will not latch properly to the striker. An unlatched second row outboard seat could tip forward during moderate to heavy braking, which could increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant. Correction: dealers will install a second row seat striker bracket and a warning label on both second row outer seats. Additionally, dealers will also place supplemental owner information cards in the glove box.

• Recall 2016644 [Canada]: Seats and restraints
  Certain vehicles may fail to conform to canada motor vehicle safety standard (cmvss) 207 - anchorage of seats. Due to a manufacturing error, the seat adjustment bar that controls the second row centre seat slide function may stick in the unlocked position, allowing the seat to slide freely and fail to meet the requirements of the standard. An unlocked second row centre seat may increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant in the event of a crash. Correction: dealers will inspect the slide function for the second row centre seat and repair/replace the seat adjustment bar if necessary.

Failure of computer module in my 2016 odyssey caused the key safety systems to all fault. Abs, traction control, ldw, and other systems all went into fault after a light tap on the breaks at parking lot speeds (less than 10 mph). This van has under 30,000 miles on it and was purchased by me brand new.

My family was recently faced with unnecessary added stress with what appears to be a design flaw in the child safety lock feature on my 2016 honda odyssey purchased in 2019 from ed napleton honda in illinois. I felt the need to bring my concerns to your attention as i’m concerned for not only my son’s safety, but any other families that could face a similar frightening situation. Last weekend, while i was driving the car on the interstate outside of cedar rapids, iowa, despite having turned the child safety locks on, my seven year old was able to squeeze his finger in between the space of the door and the side panel to reach the child safety lock, flip the position to un- locked, and open the sliding door while i was driving 70mph. I was very fortunate that i was able to pull over and call for safety assistance; however, it goes without saying that this situation could’ve ended much differently. Upon returning home, i took video of my older son being able to recreate the situation by manipulating the child safety lock from inside. I have this video if you want to see it. I purchased what i believed to be a vehicle full of adequate safety features. Now, i’m extremely concerned with my ability (or lack thereof) to safely transport my son at this time knowing this design flaw exists. I urge you to escalate this issue for immediate recall consideration to avoid potentially dire consequences.

My auto lights on dash keep flashing even though the car is off. This only happens every time i set car alarm and after couple minutes it starts to sound and all the dash board lights flicker car turns on it’s own. I open the front trunk and heard noise from fuse box. The honda service tech said their is an issue in the control unit. I had heard a recall about an issue on 2018-2020 cars but not my year. This has been the second time this issue comes up. First time the battery ran out of power so the honda technician change battery after i only had the car less than 2 years. Then a new battery was instal. Since first time this happen i thought it would be battery again but was informed that it’s power control unit that’s causing this self control flickering on its own. I am concerned that while on road the car might suddenly stop and not function if this flickering happens.

When driving, the electric systems in the car completely turn off. You lose all dashboard functions, including blinkers, speedometer, radio and information panel. Car starts to slow and gas pedal does not seem to work. Power steering also seems to stop working. Car gradually slows. Hazard lights do continue to work. When you come to a full stop, car starts again and works fine. The problem is extremely dangerous if driving of a freeway or other multi lane, higher speed road. We experienced the problem almost immediately after purchasing the car (used, with 28k miles, from paragon honda in ny). We bought the car back to the dealer and they replaced an electrical harness. The problem did not reoccur again for around 4 months (we only drive around 10k miles per year), when it happened again on a local road. Recently, in april and may the problem occurred two more times, with the last occurrence nearly causing a serious accident as we were driving in the left lane on the lie at around 60mph. Getting the car to the shoulder with limited brake, steering and acceleration functions, and not having use of the blinker was extremely dangerous. This is a very serious issue. Bringing the car back to the dealer, but given the short duration of the initial fix, i fear there is a fundamental defect in the electric system. Went online to a honda odyssey discussion board, and was surprised that there were a number of other similar complaints. If this is a systemic problem, it is a big one.
