There are several possible causes for the SRS DTC U3000-49 (Internal Failure of the SRS Unit) to be stored. If you can duplicate the DTC, the troubleshooting will take you through the step-by-step process in isolating the faulty component. In most situations, the SRS Unit should be last on the list of components to replace. Here is a quick tip for troubleshooting a faulty seat weight sensor. Disconnect all of the seat weight sensors and clear the DTCs. If DTC U3000-49 (Internal Failure of the SRS Unit) does not reappear then replace the seat frame/rail. NOTE: If you are using a seat frame from a known good vehicle, always find a vehicle with the same trim level. Swapping seat frames with different trim levels may result in the same DTC condition and cause confusion. © 2022 American Honda Motor Co., Inc. – All Rights Reserved Page 1 of 1
