• Recall 258283 [USA]: An air bag that deploys unintentionally during a crash can increase the risk of injury.
  Honda (american honda motor co.) is recalling certain 2020-2022 pilot, accord, civic sedan, hr-v, odyssey, 2020 civic coupe, fit, 2021-2022 civic hatchback, 2021 civic type r, insight, 2020-2021 cr-v, cr-v hybrid, passport, ridgeline, accord hybrid, 2020 acura mdx, 2022 acura mdx, 2020-2022 acura rdx, and 2020-2021 acura tlx vehicles. The front passenger seat weight sensor may crack and short circuit, failing to suppress the air bag as intended.

• Recall 253326 [USA]: Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Honda (american honda motor co.) is recalling certain 2013-2023 honda accord, civic coupe, civic sedan, civic hatchback, civic type r, cr-v, hr-v, ridgeline, odyssey, acura ilx, mdx, mdx hybrid, rdx, rlx, tlx, 2019-2022 honda insight, passport, 2020 honda cr-v hybrid, 2018-2019 honda clarity phev, fit, and 2015-2020 honda accord hybrid, pilot, acura nsx vehicles. The fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.

  Honda (american honda motor co.) is recalling certain 2018-2023 odyssey, 2019-2022 pilot, and 2019-2023 passport vehicles. Due to a faulty media oriented systems transport (most) communication coaxial cable connector, the rearview camera image may not appear on the display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 111, "rear visibility."

The heating pads behind both side-view mirrors may not be bonded properly, allowing the mirror glass to detach. • Recall 153865 [USA]: Operating a vehicle without a functioning instrument panel or rearview camera display increases the risk of a crash.
  Honda (american honda motor co.) is recalling certain 2018-2020 odyssey, 2019-2020 passport, and 2019-2021 pilot vehicles. Incorrect instrument panel control module software can cause the instrument panel to not display critical information, such as engine oil pressure, speedometer, and gear selector position until the next ignition cycle.   Issue: on certain vehicles, a software problem could cause a delay or prevent the rearview camera image from displaying. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display within 2 seconds of shifting the transmission into reverse gear. Safety risk: a rearview camera image that is delayed or that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: honda will notify owners by mail and include instructions on how to download and install a software update to correct this problem. Alternatively, an owner can take their vehicle to a dealer to have the software update installed.

  Issue: on certain vehicles, there is a programming error in the instrument panel control module. This could cause the instrument panel not display certain information, such as the vehicle speed, engine oil pressure, and gear selector position. This can also cause the rearview camera image not to display. Safety risk: an instrument panel that does not work or a rearview camera image that does not display could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: honda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to reprogram the instrument panel control module.

  Issue: on certain vehicles, the information printed on the compliance label was not printed with permanent ink. As a result, the ink may be wiped away with a solvent. This could result in an operator not being able to see information about the correct vehicle loading. If this happens, the vehicle could be unintentionally overloaded. Safety risk: an overloaded vehicle could increase the risk of a crash. • Inadvertent automatic emergency braking investigation # PE24008

  The office of defects investigation (odi) has received 46 complaints and a number of early warning reporting (ewr) field reports alleging inadvertent activation of the automatic emergency braking (aeb) system in 2019-2022 model year honda insight and 2019-2022 model year honda passport vehicles. The complainants allege activation of the aeb system with no apparent obstruction in the vehicle’s path, which results in rapid vehicle deceleration. Inadvertent activation of the aeb system can increase the risk of a collision resulting in injury and/or property damage. The complaints allege that the inadvertent braking events occur without warning. Odi is opening this preliminary evaluation (pe) to determine the scope and severity of the potential problem and to fully assess the potential safety-related issues. Not long after buying my car i noticed a popping sound from the speakers. I took it back to honda in which they added a harness. This did nothing and the popping got louder to the point it became a distraction and even turning the radio panel off did nothing. The speakers would get hot along with a burning smell. I took it in for a 2nd time in which nothing was done and then the third time the speakers were re-wired. As of today the popping noise is back, i lose connection to all audio (bluetooth, fm, am, sirusxm, androidauto, etc.) this makes it impossible to safely use the phone while driving down the road. Along with the popping the main screen continues to cycle through a black screen. Sometimes it comes up immediately sometimes it takes a few minutes. This is an issue when trying to back out of a driveway or parking space. Honda is well aware of the issue as they have sense released a bulletin stating that the problem will be fixed, but with the cavate that honda be able to duplicate. Outside of hearing the popping sounds there is no warning of when the speakers and or screen with cease to work. These issues do not happen constantly but when they do are an issue at highway speeds. Outside of a harness, re-wiring and constantly re-setting the system there is nothing that honda seems to be willing to do and drivers should just "deal" with it. The popping has been duplicated along with video evidence, they have also been able to duplicate the system losing connection as that is part of the bulletin and the back up camera issue has a recall but there has been no permanent fix on the speakers. None of the tried methods has seemed to fix many users issues and honda continues to willfully ignore them.

Adaptive cruise control works well most of the time. Occasionally, it ignores stopped traffic and closes to a dangerous distance. It then slams on the brakes and all warning lights go on. The sensors are defective. On two lane roads, the sensors detect oncoming traffic and flash the brake warning light. When on cruise, the sensors detect cars making a left turn when passed on the right, and apply the brakes. The same thing happens when on a freeway in the middle lane passing a car on the right. The false warnings have happened since i purchased the vehicle. It's been to the dealership numerous times. They can't fix it. The cruise problems were discovered on a trip to florida from january to march 2021.
