Furthermore, these faults occur commonly under the following engine and environmental conditions: - Low RPM (≤ 2000 1/min) - Closely approaching, or already warm engine and oil temperatures (≈ 90 °C water; > 40 °C oil )Low to mid ‘calculated’ engine load (20-50%) - Vehicle Speed < 100 km/h (60 mph) - In the majority of occurrences, the diagnostic responsible for the fault occurs at an altitude of approximately 4500 feet, corresponding to an ambient air pressure of 861 mbar. Technical Background The diagnostic responsible for these faults is under analysis. If at least four of the five aforementioned conditions from the fault’s environmental data exist, then consider the vehicle to exhibit this diagnostic phenomenon. Additional Information Porsche is aware of this fault and actively investigating it. There is no indication this diagnostic error is damaging to the vehicle. Though less likely, this fault can reoccur, but there is no need to alter driving habits. If a vehicle exhibits the diagnostic error described herein, there is no need to replace any parts at this time. As soon as more information and a means for resolution is available, this bulletin will update accordingly. Warranty As always, please document the case completely in PQIS.
