Failure of the Display and Control Panel Including Control Unit for Electronically Controlled
Air-Conditioning System (BKE): Check Fuse (208/21)

Information:
Customers complain about failure of the display and control panel for the electric air-conditioning system
(BKE).
Action required: This may be caused by a defective fuse for the electric air-conditioning system (BKE).
An incorrectly installed 10A fuse for the electric air-conditioning system (BKE) was detected during the
analysis. In the event of a complaint, check the 10A fuse, which is located in row D, slot no. 8 in the fuse
box in the luggage compartment, and replace it with a 15A fuse.
Replacing fuse
Work procedure: 1
Open the fuse box in the luggage compartment.

Replace 10A fuse in row D, slot no. 8 with a 15A fuse.

Close fuse box in luggage compartment.

Switch on ignition and check whether the fault type
has been corrected. If not, continue troubleshooting.

Read out the fault memory of the PCM and delete it if
necessary.
