Today, March 11, 2022, American Honda is announcing a product improvement campaign (PIC) for certain
2022 Pilot TrailSport and Ridgeline vehicles to update the PGM-FI so ware that affects the idle stop
opera on under certain condi ons. Perform an iN VIN status inquiry to determine which units in your
inventory are affected.
American Honda requests that all vehicles be updated prior to sale to ensure customer confidence and
sa sfac on.
BACKGROUND
American Honda is providing this so ware for affected vehicles to update the PGM-FI so ware. This
change corrects so ware se ngs that inhibit idle stop func onality a er a certain number of start
cycles, thus ensuring that your vehicle will maintain fuel economy performance. This so ware also
includes MID messaging consistent with these changes, with instruc ons to visit the dealer for
maintenance (as appropriate).
REPAIR
Update the PGM-FI so ware.
SOFTWARE
So ware will be available at me of launch.
PARTS
There are no parts needed for this campaign.
TOOLS
There are no special tools needed for this campaign.
