Condition
Some customers may comment that the MIL is illuminated when shifting the transmission
from Park.
Some technicians may find DTC P0333 (Knock Sensor Circuit High Voltage Bank 2) set
in the Engine Control Module (ECM).
Cause
DTC P0333 can set due to voltage from the transmission park/neutral signal 1 circuit
bleeding into the knock sensor system circuits.
Correction
To correct this condition, follow service information for diagnostic code P0333. If service
information does not isolate the concern, then inspect the K20 ECM X2 electrical
connector for debris, connector and/or terminal concerns.

GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these
technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper
service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a
job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your
vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the
information.
