A customer may report that the 2nd row seat makes a ratcheting noise or is
difficult to manually folding/ unfolding the seat.
Technical Description:

This may be caused by a seat pivot ‘Clockwork’ mechanism assembly.
Status:

The 2nd row seat ‘Clockwork’ assemblies have now been released as a lower
level service part.
Please refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) with the VIN for the correct
lower level assembly part number should diagnosis of a customer concern
identify a seat pivot ‘Clockwork’ mechanism failure.
The replacement procedure has been added to the Workshop Manual, section
501-10: Seating > General Procedures > Second Row Seat Recline Mechanism.
