Cut a 500 mm (~19.7 inches) long piece of fleece adhesive tape D 373 125 A2.
3.
Apply this piece of fleece tape to the entire length of the inner window slot seal (Figure 1).

Reinstall the door trim panel according to the Elsa Repair manual. It is important that the door trim
panel is positioned/pressed as far down as possible to ensure contact between the door trim panel
attachment strip and the window slot seal.
Warning: Do not apply anything to the crash element on the door trim panel or its retaining
clamp on the door (Figure 2). This is strictly prohibited!

Brief note on function of crash element:
Prevents premature detachment of the door trim panel from the door.
• The crash element is locked in the retaining clamp during intrusion and retains the door trim panel to the
door.
• Prevents a gap in which the side airbag could get caught while inflating.
