The instructions within this TPI must be strictly observed when cleaning the interior of a vehicle which has been specified with Tweed interior trim
Figure 1 shows an example of the Tweed interior trim

In the event that the cleaning instructions are not followed, some cleaning methods can increase piling of the Tweed interior trim
NOTE: Warranty payments will not be considered in the event that incorrect cleaning methods have been applied to the Tweed
interior trim

Measure
Tweed interior cleaning advice
In order to preserve the exquisite feel and appearance of the Tweed, a certain amount of care is required as detailed below:
•
Regularly vacuum the Tweed trim to extract dust and dirt. Use a soft brush and gentle movement to minimise abrasion
•
Light marks or stains should be promptly wiped with a damp cloth and left to dry
•
For a deeper cleanse, a fabric-friendly cleaning product particularly appropriate for wool should be used. If the addition of a small amount
of water is necessary, the cloth should be left to dry naturally before further use
•
Do not under any circumstances over-wet the upholstery
•
A fabric shaver can be used on Tweed if there is any pilling evident after cleaning
If any soiling is evident on the tips of the natural loose fibres, a fabric shave may be used to remove the soiling
