Verify the condition by test driving the vehicle to reproduce the concern. 2. Technical Service Bulletin 3. TAC consultant will review the case and evaluate if a TFM visit is necessary. 4. If a TFM visit is required, please wait for TFM instructions. If a TFM visit is not necessary, then proceed with the following steps. 5. Review alignment information at ELSA>>Repair Manual>>Chassis>>Suspension,Wheels,Steering>>44 Wheels,Tires,Wheel Alignment. 6. Make sure the wheel alignment machine software is up to date. 7. Install VAS 6458 (Steering wheel scale), and set the steering column all the way up and as far as possible from the dash panel. With the wheels straight take a clear picture in front of the steering wheel (Figure1). 8. Verify if the tires/wheels meet OEM specifications. (Vehicles with winter tires can be excluded from this Repair Authorization). 9. Check and set tire pressure according to specifications. 10. Verify if there are any damages to suspension components, wheels, and tires. 11. Proceed with suspension alignment, and upload the alignment protocol before and after measurements to the TAC ticket. Please upload full protocol, no screen pictures. Protocols must list the VIN number. Figure 1. VAS 6458 installed with steering wheel off-center.
