OVERVIEW
Customer reports poor or intermittent cooling from the air
conditioning system.
Note: This Technical Tip is provided as technical information
and is not authorization for a warrantable repair.
DESCRIPTION OF CONDITION
Some vehicles may have received a refrigerant overcharge
during vehicle assembly. If a customer reports poor or intermittent
cooling from the air conditioning system on a subject vehicle, first
recover the refrigerant from the vehicle and recharge to 450
grams (1lb) of refrigerant. Test air conditioning system operation
before performing any additional diagnostics or repairs.
