Production Solution
Under investigation.
Service
Diagnose the vehicle according to the instructions listed below. If the customer’s vehicle condition matches the
condition listed in the Technical Background of this PSS TSB, explain to the customer that a solution is expected to
be available by the end of the 1st quarter of 2023 (subject to change) and that no repairs are necessary at this
point.
Do not replace any components for this condition since this will not resolve the customer’s concern.
Create a PSS record in the PSS application through the Pending Service Solutions (PSS) link in AccessAudi (under
Related Links >> Service), or through the Technical Assistance Page in Elsa.
1. Perform the needed component protection to J519.
2. Other symptoms related to component protection that may be entered in the fault memory can be resolved
using the corresponding test plan in Guided Fault Finding.
3. Clear all faults and ensure the vehicle is entered into the PSS database.

4. If the J519 actively does not communicate with the tester and the faults are static, continue to diagnose as
normal. In this case, the PSS does not apply. This PSS applies to vehicles that exhibit intermittent component
protection entries to the J519 which as a byproduct cause J623 to set no communication to the J519.
Note: Replacing the control unit will not solve the problem. A software update is being prepared.
