Case Number: S2109000001 Release Date: 01/21/2021 Symptom/Vehicle Issue: Customer may complain of a MIL lamp on. Upon further investigation there could be a fault code in the PCM for P1524 – Oil Pressure Out of Range – Camshaft Advance/Retard Disabled. Customer Complaint/Technician Observation: If the customer is experiencing the above conditions, check to see if the customer recently had the oil filter changed and had an AMSOIL brand oil filter installed. Discussion: If the vehicle has an AMSOIL brand oil filter installed, remove it and install an applicable MOPAR brand oil filter. Make sure the oil level is correct, add oil if necessary. Erase the fault code in the PCM. Drive the vehicle and see if the fault code returns. If the fault code returns, perform the published fault code diagnostic routine to root cause the condition.
