TOL NOTICE (US) – July 13, 2022
TOL Ref. # 21938-MCS
CALIFORNIA PROP 65 REGULATION REMINDER
As a reminder to dealers, in September 2018 a new state law went into effect in California
requiring dealers to include and display a warning with each new motorcycle manufactured
after August 31, 2018. All model-year 2019 and newer motorcycles supplied by Triumph now
include this new warning in the form of a hang tag. In California, the hang tag must always be
displayed on the motorcycle in the showroom.
Note: This regulation applies only in California.

TriumphOnline | Notice
Dealers outside of California are welcome to leave the hang tag in place but may remove it if
desired. All California Triumph dealers are required to always display the hang tag on new unsold
motorcycles to comply with regulation.
Hang tags should remain attached to the motorcycle at the point of handover to the customers.
Customers should remove hang tags from motorcycles themselves (they should not be removed
by the dealer). Customers should be encouraged to keep the hang tag and not simply hand it
back to the dealer. The new hang tags are not required on any motorcycles manufactured
before August 31, 2018, and they are not required for any used or demo motorcycles regardless
of manufacture date.
Retail sales into California by non-California based Triumph dealers.
It is recommended that non-resident dealers include the Prop 65 hang tag on any new
motorcycles sold / delivered to Californian residents.
Retail sales out of California by California based Triumph dealers.
It is recommended that California dealers include the Prop 65 hang tag on any new motorcycles
sold / delivered to customers residing outside of California.
Additional hang tags can be ordered via EPC using part number T3900530.
If you have any additional questions, please contact Triumph Customer Support at (888) 2846288.
