Technical Service Bulletin 2 - Revised Condition: Removed symptom code from DTC 1 09/16/2022 Initial publication Customer states: The check engine lamp intermittently is displayed in the instrument cluster when the vehicle is started. Workshop findings: The following DTC is stored in the engine electronics J623 (diagnostic address 0001): • DTC U014000: Lost Communication with Body Control Module. The following DTC is stored in the onboard supply control unit J519 (diagnostic address 0009): • DTC U110100: Component protection active. Technical Background When component protection is active, the parking aid behaves in the same way as when terminal 15 is switched off and does not send any messages over the network. This causes the engine control unit to activate the warning lamp. Production Solution Software updated in production. Service This TSB replaces Pending Service Solution (PSS) 2067133: PSS 97 Yellow check engine lamp sporadically lights up in the instrument cluster: DTC U014000 and U110100 are stored. Ensure the replacement test plan is used for the exchange of the module. • If other DTCs or concerns related to component protection are present, resolve these using the corresponding test plan(s) in Guided Fault Finding.
