Initial publication
Customer states:
The check engine lamp intermittently is displayed in the instrument cluster when the vehicle is started.
Workshop findings:
The following DTC is stored in the engine electronics J623 (diagnostic address 0001):
• DTC U014000: Lost Communication with Body Control Module.
The following DTC is stored in the onboard supply control unit J519 (diagnostic address 0009):
•
DTC U110100: Component protection active.
Technical Background
When component protection is active, the parking aid behaves in the same way as when terminal 15 is switched off
and does not send any messages over the network. This causes the engine control unit to activate the warning
lamp.
Production Solution
Software updated in production.
Service

in the instrument cluster: DTC U014000 and U110100 are stored.
