Issue:
Foul condition noted between the door leading edge and
rear edge of bonnet.
Paint damaged on edge.
Cause:
Bonnet set adjustment incorrect causing foul condition.
(Picture 1 on attachment).
Action:
To increase the gap between the leading edge of the door
to bonnet, the bonnet requires adjustment forward
as descibed below. (Also see attachment).
1) Open bonnet and remove the gas struts.
2) Release / slacken the fixings on the bonnet hinge leaf,
Content (circled picture 2), and move the bonnet forward to
increase the gap to the door.
3) Secure the hinge fixings and refit the gas struts.
4) Re-check the gap between bonnet and door and when
the door is opened, no foul exists.
5) With the profile door to bonnet improved, (minimum
3mm Gap to be achieved), check the front end gap is
flush between bonnet, bumper and headlamp to ensure
they meet with the specified gap plan requirement for the
vehicle. (See picture 3).

6) Where required rectify any paint damage.
