Symptom 206000 Warning Indicators
Issue: A customer may report a concern that the
message ‘Smart Key Battery Low’ is displayed on the
Instrument pack when the key handset remote is
operated.
Cause: Currently under analysis.
Action: Replace the key handset and submit an ePQR,
where the customer has reported the concern within the
first 12months of service on the following MY onwards
vehicles only:
13 MY XF / 12-13MY XJ

Note: It is important that the battery is not disturbed/
removed from the faulty key handset. The original handset
should be returned through the normal warranty routes as
appropriate.
UK only – If the vehicle is located in the United Kingdom,
please keep the handset aside for a period of one week in
case more information is required or a Parts Return
Request. If no request has been made within this period,
please return the handset through the normal warranty
return routes.
