Relative movement between the upper B-Pillar trim and the body may be the source of the noises.

Not applicable.
Service
The following materials are required for this repair:
• Webbing adhesive tape D004350A2 for upper mounting points of the upper B-Pillar trim.
• Fleece adhesive tape D373125A2 for the lower mounting points of the upper B-Pillar trim.
1. Remove the affected upper B-Pillar trim
according to:

2. Apply two pieces of webbing adhesive
tape D004350A2 to the upper mounting
points of the B-Pillar trim (Figure 1-2).

For better adhesion to the trim
mounting points, cut the webbing
adhesive tape long enough to fold the
tape over (Figure 3).

3. Apply two pieces of fleece adhesive
tape D373125A2 to the lower mounting
points of the B-Pillar trim (Figure 4).

For better adhesion to the trim
mounting points, cut the fleece
adhesive tape long enough to fold it
over (Figure 5).

4. Reinstall upper B-Pillar trim according to the Elsa repair manual.
Apply this repair solution to the other side as well should there be noises from both the right and left inner BPillar trim.
5. Test drive the vehicle to verify that the noises from the upper B-Pillar trim are no longer present.

• 110 up to 6 Months/6,000 Miles.
• 1AM over 6 months/6,000 Miles.
• If the vehicle is outside any warranty, this Technical Service Bulletin is
informational only.
