The process of draining oil through the drain plug is not always tidy.
Technical Background
When oil is drained through the drain plug, the oil might spill on components around the oil pan area. If it is not
properly cleaned up, this spilled oil could drip after the procedure is complete, causing unnecessary customer
complaints.

Service
1. When necessary, use flexible oil funnel VAS 6675 (Figure 1) on difficult-toreach places to prevent oil from spilling.
2. Clean any oil residue off of components before returning the vehicle
to the customer.
Note:
For all non-electronic oil consumption tests, it is necessary to capture any spilled
oil to ensure accuracy of the measurements.
