Figure 1 - Owner’s Manual Information for Over-Temperature Warning (B19A750) Technical Background The aforementioned warning message only displays when temperatures exceed the warning thresholds. In contrast to “TI, 1950 Warning Message “Coolant Temperature Too High”: Checking Coolant Pump and Change-Over Valve (173/21)”, please replace the ‘change-over valve’ in combination with this warning, regardless of whether or not it passes the function test as outlined in TI 173/21. Check and verify vehicle model year Check for damage in the coolant pump and replace if necessary, per the instruction in WM – 195019 Replace change-over valve Check for damage and residue in vacuum lines and replace if necessary. Warranty As always, please document the repair completely in PQIS.
