MODELS: **2012-2014** (J8) Jeep Wrangler SYMPTOM/CONDITION: A small number of J8 Vehicles built as over-the-road units for non-reg BUX markets and sold to US-based mining operations with the intent of re-programming the diesel PCM to limit vehicle-speed in the mining environment. The discretion of which mining flash is to be used is left to the discretion of the operator. DIAGNOSIS: Using a Scan Tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify all engine systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs are present record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin. REPAIR PROCEDURE: NOTE: Install a battery charger to ensure battery voltage does not drop below 13.2 volts. Do not allow the charging voltage to climb above 13.5 volts during the flash process. 18-051-14 REV. A -2- NOTE: If this flash process is interrupted/aborted, the flash should be restarted. 1.
