Technical Service Bulletin
A message regarding CNG inspection or CNG mode is displayed on the instrument cluster, despite the vehicle
not being equipped with a CNG fuel system (Figure 1).

The message is displayed very sporadically and is no longer displayed after an ignition cycle.
Therefore, it may not be reproducible.
Technical Background
A highly sporadic startup timing issue can cause this message to be displayed erroneously.
Production Solution
Not applicable.
Service
No repair is available at this time.
1. Do not perform any repairs. Repairs for this concern may be denied by warranty.
2. Instruct the customer that this condition is normal and that the complaint can be resolved by cycling the
ignition.
This message may appear extremely sporadically and it is very unlikely for it to be displayed multiple times.
