Some customers may comment that the MIL is illuminated.
Some technicians may find one or more of the following DTCs set in the Engine Control
Module (ECM):
• P0171: Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1
• P0174: Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 2

This condition may be caused by possible cracked/failed rubber intake boot.
Note: Do Not to remove engine cover when performing leak check.
Correction

Inspect rubber boot for cracking or weld failure:
• If the intake boot is found to have cracking or weld failure. Refer to the Service
Procedure below.
• If the intake boot is found to be in working condition. Refer to SI for further diagnostics.
